Meet the creators of our soup - Heidi, Ashley, Casey and Chriss
Our passion is fresh ingredients and new flavors. We wanted to see what would happen when we gave that passion free reign. The result? Progresso Artisan.
“It’s all about amazing taste, and it’s about using high quality ingredients. I don’t think, ‘I’m making a bowl of soup.’ I think about what I want the experience to be when people taste it.” – Heidi, one of our soup creatorssee our inspiration
There's no progress without passion.
We're so passionate about soup that we've been making it for the last fifty years. For us, that passion means looking forward to what's next while holding on to what's great about where we've been. It means exploring the possibilities of flavor with ingredients we love. And it means creating something in our kitchen that feels like it belongs in yours.
Our history is built on flavor.
So is our future.
In 1907, Giuseppe Uddo, an Italian immigrant in New Orleans, discovered that he couldn't find the ingredients and tastes he loved in his new home. So he started a company dedicated to bringing the rich tradition of Italian flavors to America. That tradition of flavor is the foundation Progresso is built on – and our inspiration for looking forward to what's next.

Discovering remarkable flavor
We've crafted our Artisan soups to bring amazing tastes to life. Inspired by the most exciting ingredients, like the fresh tomatoes of Italy and the warm spices of India, we're creating surprising flavors that make the familiar into something new.
Our "soup blueprint" is how we experiment with flavor.
Every one of our soups starts with an idea. Before we ever step into the kitchen, we explore the flavors and ingredients that make that idea come to life. By mapping out our flavors with a soup blueprint, we can choose every element of our soups and then find the very best way to prepare them. It takes some trial and error, but when all the pieces come together perfectly – that's when we know we've got an Artisan soup.
